Tatyana Popova, a versatile artist hails from the multicultural city Almaty, Kazakhstan, located in the heart of Central Asia. Tatyana is a bachelor degree holder from different universities of dance, for each discipline in country of its origin. Since taking her first dance steps at age of six, she has continued her trajectory across the world, taking part in different companies and training in prestigious dance academies including the J. Elebekov Music and Dance Academy in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where she strove to perfect her interpretations of Russian, Kazakh and World character dances & ballet. She feels fortunate to have been given the scholarship by ICCR (Indian consul of Culture Relationships) to study Bharatanatyam for six years in Chennai, India, at the University of fine arts Rukmini Devi Arundale “Kalakshetra”(under tutelage of Prof. A. Janardhanan, Smt. Jyolsana Menon) . Tatyana completed a diploma course in “Kalapeetam “school of accompaniment for the dance (nattuvangam) at Chennai, India under a legendary Guru, Carnatic singer and music composer Bhagavatula Seetharama Sharma. Tatyana have been fortunate to be part of the performing company of Shrimati Krishnaveni Lakshmanan.
Damir Tasmagambetov is a dynamic young aspiring Bharatanatyam dancer who has graduated from Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts Kalakshetra Foundation with a 1st class Diploma in Bharatanatyam. He have been awarded ICCR (Indian consul of Culture Relationships) Scholarship to study this style for five years in Chennai, India, at the College of Fine Arts Rukmini Devi Arundale “Kalakshetra”- the birthplace of Bharatanatyam. He also holds a M.A Degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras, Tamilnadu, India. He spent long periods studying in India with prestigious teachers of dance and choreography such as Smt. Ambika Buch, Smt. Nandini Nagaraj and Sri. Sheejith Krishna.
In 2017, the Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) has selected him to be Empanelment in the ICCR’s Reference Panel of Artistes, New Delhi, India. In 2019 Damir was included to be Member of International Dance Council CID under UNESCO in Paris, France. Apart from Indian Classical dance Bharatanatyam, Damir is known as talented performer and choreographer of Kazakh folk dances. He is a true creative person whose work exemplifies quality,
musicality and creativity.
